Junior girls’ lightweight continuous sparring 121+ (55+) N-100 will be split into two divisions effective at Super Grands 2007. The new divisions at the SG will be N-100A Junior Girls’ Lightweight 121-143 (65-) and N-100B Junior Girls’ Middleweight 143+ (65+).
The last couple of years the NBL junior girls’ sparring lightweight 121+ (55+) division (N-100) at the Super Grands for the World Title has had challenges due to the disproportionate weights allowed in the division not to mention an increased divisional attendance. Thus to make it a more fair and safe division the NBL has decided to split this division starting at the 2007 Super Grands and create a new division for all NBL national tournaments for the 2008 season.
NOTE - No NBL tournament will be offering this this division for the remainder of the 2007 season. However all junior girls earning a seed in N-100 for the 2007 season and that attend the 2007 SG will have their seed apply to the appropriate division according to their weight at the SG. So the weight girls compete in the rest of the year doesn’t matter. It will only matter what they weigh at the SG.
NOTE - Present divisions N-101 to N-112 will retain their same numbers for the remainder of the 2007 season however the SG will use N-100A and N-100B to differentiate the two Girls’ Continuous divisions. We will change the division numbers after the SG for next year’s competition.
